Board of Directors

The Board of Directors comprises of the President and four members, all of which are pre-selected from a list of candidates by a three-member committee composed of the Minister of Finance, the Governor of the Central Bank of Greece and the President of the Court of Audit. The nominees are approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and are subsequently appointed by the Minister of Finance.

The time of service for the President of the Board and one member is six years, two members serve for five years and one member serves for four years.

Η Αναστασία Μιαούλη είναι Πρόεδρος στο Ελληνικό Δημοσιονομικό Συμβούλιο, Ομότιμη Καθηγήτρια του Τμήματος Οικονομικής Επιστήμης στο Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. 

Σπούδασε  στο Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (πτυχίο και M.Sc. in Economics από το Τμήμα Οικονομικής Επιστήμης) και έλαβε το διδακτορικό της από το University of London (Ph.D in Economics). Η πρόσφατη ερευνητική της δραστηριότητα εστιάζεται σε θέματα μακροοικονομίας,  δημοσιονομικής πολιτικής  και διαρθρωτικών μεταρρυθμίσεων στις αγορές προϊόντος και εργασίας.  

Έχει υπάρξει Κοσμήτορας της Σχολής Οικονομικών Επιστημών ΟΠΑ, Honorary Senior Research Fellow στο City University London UK, έχει επισκεφτεί και διδάξει σαν Επισκέπτρια Καθηγήτρια μεταξύ άλλων στο University of Bern, Queen Mary College University of London, University of Cyprus. Συμμετείχε  σαν Vice Chair σε διαδικασίες αξιολόγησης σε Marie Curie, ΙΤΝ, Cofund και άλλες ερευνητικές δραστηριότητες του προγράμματος Horizon 2020 της ΕΕ.  

Δημοσιεύει σε έγκριτα διεθνή ακαδημαϊκά περιοδικά και έχει υπηρετήσει ως κριτής σε πολλά από αυτά. Η πλούσια διδακτική εμπειρία της αφορά  σε θέματα μακροοικονομίας,  οικονομικών της εργασίας,  οικονομετρίας κ.α. και έχει επιμεληθεί την έκδοση  δύο βιβλίων σε θέματα μακροοικονομικής και μαθηματικών οικονομικών.  Έχει παρουσιάσει εργασίες της σε πολλά διεθνή συνέδρια και έχει υπάρξει μέλος/εταίρος επαγγελματικών-ακαδημαϊκών οργανώσεων, όπως European Association of Labour Economists, European Economic Association, International Atlantic Economic Society κ.ά. Είναι μέλος του Editorial Board του Ευρωπαϊκού δικτύου των Ανεξαρτήτων Δημοσιονομικών Συμβουλίων.

Anastasia Miaouli

Anastasia Miaouli is the Chairperson of the Hellenic Fiscal Institution and Emeritus Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Department of Economics. 

She received her B.A. and M.Sc. in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business and Ph.D. from the University of London (1990).  Her current research focuses on issues of macroeconomics, fiscal policy, structural reforms in product and labour markets, etc. 

She has been Dean for the School of Economics AUEB, Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the City University London UK, Visiting Professor at Queen Mary College University of London UK, University of Cyprus, and University of Bern among others. She has been Expert Evaluator for European projects and she is acting as Vice Chair in evaluations of MSCA fellowships in the DG Research under 6th, 7th and Horizon 2020 Framework Programs. 

She has published many papers in international peer reviewed journals, has presented her work in various international conferences and workshops and has been editor of two books in the field of macroeconomics and mathematical economics. She has been member of professional and academic organizations (European Association of Labour Economists, European Economic Association, International Atlantic Economic Society among others) and has served as referee in many scientific journals such as Journal of Economic Studies, International Review of Applied Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics, Economic Modelling among others. She is currently serving at the Editorial Board of EU IFIs network.

Nikos Tatsos

Professor of Public Finance at Panteion University, Athens (1986-2017).  Has taught at the University College of North Wales, the University of Athens and the Hellenic Open University and has worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute of European Finance, the Bank of Greece and the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research.

Has served as Ambassador of Greece to the OECD and as national delegate to various international organizations. His research interest and publications focus on the field of Public Finance.

Emmanuel Mamatzakis

Professor of Finance at the School of Business, Economics and Informatics, Birkbeck College, University of London. He holds a DPhil in Economics  from  the University of London, Queen Mary College (UK) with an IKY Fellowship, an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, and a BSc in Economics from the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He has previously taught at Cass Business School (UK), University of Sussex (UK), Rennes Business School (France) and Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Brazil) as well as at Greek Universities such as the University of Macedonia. He has numerous scientific publications in international journals such as Agriculture Economics, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Economics Letters, European Journal of Operational Research and more.

He has served as Secretary General of Fiscal Policy, as Chairman of the Public Debt Management Agency and on the Council of Economic Advisors of the Ministry of National Economy.
